A Day In The Life of a Little Girl

It seems that over night our little rolling baby turned into a giggly and playful little girl.

On the same day as my last post (which was two weeks ago- sorry!) our little baby started crawling. She had preferred to cling to things and "walk" but finally started to move around on the floor.

And just as quickly, she started sleeping through the night. Shock! We could barely believe it and we're going on a ten day streak now (holding our breath and praising our Lord!).

Then, it seems the very next day, she started playing for long stretches by herself- digging through her toybox, putting toys in her mouth and crawling from toy to toy with her fists full of toys. She seems oblivious to my presence other than to occasionally look at me and scrunch up her nose in a big smile (also a new thing).

Then just as quickly, we had a cousin with us and Claire saw a great Dane in a pick up- she pointed and said, "Da! Da! Boof! Boof!" (translation: "Dog! Dog! Woof! Woof!"). And since then she points at the door when she gets up (where the dogs stand) and says, "Da!".

Who is this little girl who lives in my home now?!

When I go to get her out of bed in the morning she is either sitting up and smiling or standing up and beaming from ear to ear.

When we read her books at night she points at each picture going from the left to the right page and will even flip the page for us and wait for us to read.

Her favorite books right now are "Goodnight Moon" and "The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear".

In other big news, it seems over night her top four teeth came through (for a while she was Miss Snaggle Tooth with only one far right tooth sticking down), and we've started feeding her food that we eat- like little bits of green beans, chicken, strawberries, avocado, raspberries etc. She sits quietly and feeds herself while we eat dinner. Again... total shocker! Where did this little girl come from and what did she do with my baby?!

This little girl is so much fun!

We went on a little road trip and I can't wait to share photos (hence our absence). Can't wait to get caught up!

That is so awesome!!! It is really fun when they turn that corner and become a little child and no longer a fussy baby! Enjoy these moments!
