Roadside Refreshment

Driving to Fort Worth I was so blessed to have my path cross with a friend from Uganda home on furlough. We met in a road side Chili’s and began to unfurl our thoughts and feelings. It was beautiful. In those long talks where we share what we struggle with and what God is showing us, I believe he uses us to heal one another. We become his vessels. Hours slipped by. The lunch crowd was replaced with a bustling evening crowd, and still we talked. I walked away and got in my car a new woman. Renewed. Refreshed. Feeling like “myself”. The version I remember and love. Thank you friend. Thank you.
