To help us keep things in moderation I suggested we go to CAKE. Which is a local cakery on 82nd street that is just heaven in a box. Yes, it's that good. These pictures really won't do these little darlings justice.
These cupcakes are well what you will pay for them and literally melt in your mouth. Some have fillings and some don't.
We got a lovely mixture of many of the regulars and specials all wrapped up pretty to go.
They are now also selling icing shots. For true sweet tooths (?) like me this is ideal... A sugar shot to tell the grandkids about.

And Birthday Surprise. Our favorite was the birthday surprise and the lemon and blueberries. Though the Snickerdoodle was incredibly scrumptious.
Come early, because when they sell out then they close, which is often faster than you would think.

Oh my!!! I would be in HEAVEN in that shop. That is my dream -- to have a little shop just like that. hmmmmm so yummy looking and the icing shots -- wow!
I just recently became aware of this cupcake shop in Kingsgate. How fun! Everything looks so good and I'm loving the icing shots.
