Vacay 1- Niagara Falls- and We're back!!!

We're baaaccckk! And just in time for school and real work schedules. Boooo-hissssss... But escaping from it all has been blissful.I've missed you little blog world. Kisses all around. Mwah!! Mwah!

We went to Canada for a few VERY GOOD reasons. And here they are:My friend Michelle is now married! And what an awesome wedding. Lots of Czech Svatebni kolache (grammar?), and Portuguese and Swiss wedding sweets as well (groom's side). Some serious "polka"ing took place and ABBA was played in all earnestness and the bride danced along... I tell ya- that is what it's all about.

I am sad to say that there was a shocking lack of yodelling. Yes, I was after all holding out hope for part of the Swiss contingency to break out in a joyous yodel say after the first kiss... Apparently that's not "normal". I was willing to offer up a boquet of "yee-haws" and "git-'em little doggies" to make it authentically "Texan" from us.. but I think the consensus was to act "normal".

Well. You all know how I feel about "normal".. Anywho.

We stayed mainly in Niagara-on-the-lake. It was so wonderful that I want to lie about it so fewer people will go and we can have it all to ourselves... We visited Niagara Falls, the CN Tower and got to see... drum roll please.... the DEAD SEA SCROLLS at the Royal Ontario Museum... Super. Cool.

Today we flew from Buffalo to Cincinatti (which apparently was once called Porkopolis and has lots of pig paraphenallia everywhere..) and then Memphis to home.

I'm tired.

I ate too many donuts and gained 5 pounds. Bliss I tell you. I belong in Cincinatti.. Call me Porkolopia.

I am currently in a sugar induced coma, bloated, happy, and tired...

And I have a lot of pictures to sort through...

So Happy August you beautiful people and more to come soon!!!!

I'm so glad you're back! I missed you! I did mission work in Detroit before college and visited Canada often. I loved it. My brother's girlfriend is from Canada so I guess we may be attending a wedding in Canada sometime in the future too. When do you go back to work? Oh I am remember the donuts in Canada. Yummy! In fact we would cross the border to Canada just to eat their donuts!
