Unicorns and "New" News

Happy Thanksgiving!

I can't believe it was a year ago that we celebrated Thanksgiving with our friends in Kaabong (and Sahar's great impersonation of a unicorn!). So much has changed since then.

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with Jacob's family in Canadian- and with our own new edition to our family.. We have a 17 year old Vietnamese son! Surprise! Actually we have an exchange student who will be living with us this school year- but we're really excited.

And on the front of our changing family... we're seeking a new family for Red. I hate to admit defeat but Red just hasn't been a good fit. Since he's come Daisy has lost a lot of weight and, honestly, he annoys us to no end. He has chewed up and destroyed: our garden, our garden hoses, two doggie beds, the doggie door, the screen to the back door, our wedding gift of barbecue tools (brand new...) and just this week- our internet cable... If it will stay still- he will obliterate it- and it doesn't seem to be a passing phase. The day before Thanksgiving I took him on a walk to spend some quality time with him and to let off steam and came back more frustrated than ever and actually chagrined that he didn't get loose and run away.. and worse than even that- I wouldn't have been that sad if he had gotten run over.. it's horrible!!! He needs a new family (as you can see!). Really it's a sad predicament...

Aw, sorry for Red but glad you're going to have a little peace of mind again! Congrats on the new son! When does he move in? Sounds like quite an adventure - I'm sure it will be wonderful! Love you!
