In America!

I've watched West Side Story maybe once- and my memory is foggy. But I seem to remember a song that goes something like..."du du ta du in AMERICA!!!" over and over. And though I don't really know the song it's stuck in my head! We are indeed "in AMERICA!" We had a wonderful flight over and we got Daisy through with absolutely no hassle "in AMERICA!". We couldn't even hear her barking on the plane. Our first meal in Fort Worth was Cousin's BBQ and it was YUMMY! You couldn't plan for better than that. We're soaking up home and loving every minute of it ("in AMERICA!").

Glad you all made it back! Maybe we can meet up next time we are in Lubbock (probably late summer or early fall).

Welcome back y'all! So glad to hear you had a good flight and are enjoying things like good ol' Texan BBQ. Just soak it up. We miss you, love you, and look forward to hearing more about your new life.

So, you obviously don't watch American Idol--or you would have had Neil Diamond's "We're coming to America--TODAY!!" song stuck in your head the whole way home. But that's funny about not knowing any words of your song except "In America"--I love it. We know you've got tons to do and need to get settled and stuff, but if you're coming through Amarillo and have a second, we'd sure love to see you!

Welcome back! I'm sure it feels so good to be home- (and taking a shower without ants)!

For months before leaving Africa my family would sing, "Leaving on a Jet plane!"
Great memories! Welcome home!.

well some of us aren't so thrilled about your return home. i just read the 8 comments before mine and well...it stinks. i'm glad you guys are home but sad you're not still here in uganda showering with ants and worms and such. eat your stinkin cousins barbeque, drive on your smooth roads, go ahead enjoy the luxuries but just know that you've got an african dog who will set you straight if you get too comfortable :) love and miss you guys!
